Product & Services - Network Services

  • Managed Network Services

Managed Network Services is a complete Peace of Mind solution from Hughes. It offers an enterprise the liberty to completely hand over the management of their network (and the accompanying head-aches!) to Hughes, allowing them to concentrate on their core competence. With its support extending to over 200+ cities across India, Hughes makes sure that all SLA parameters are met with no lapse.

By opting for Managed Network Services customers can ensure that their network runs optimally round the clock. The following services from the MNS stable make this possible:

    Managed Network Services

    - Proactive Fault Management

SNMP compliant devices like Routers and Switches, and data links are proactively monitored from the MNS Network Operations Centre (NOC) and the support departments are mobilized as soon as the NOC identifies an outage on the network. This is made possible through the highly flexible HP Open view Network Management Tool. Easy to use and comprehend Graphical User Interface at the NOC helps Hughes Engineers monitor the client networks round the clock so that precious time in reporting an outage is saved. Also, since the support departments are well integrated with the NOC, problems are immediately escalated to the relevant departments in case the first level trouble shooting from the NOC does not show results.

    - Proactive Performance Management

Over and above Fault Management, Performance Management ensures that not only is the customer network up and running, it is running optimally. Connectivity links are checked for CRC errors and possible bottlenecks, both over and under utilization of links are monitored through the HPOV platform and reports are generated capturing this data. This data is further analysed by Hughes engineers and a comprehensive recommendation is given to the client apprising him of the network status – performance wise.

    - Service Information Portal

The client gets a complete view of his network on a real time basis on line. This portal can be accessed both over the net and through the WAN if Hughes has integrated the same. It offers view of the network detailing every single link and routing device that is being monitored from the NOC. These are colour coded to define the actual status of the same at that point of time.

  • Satellite Trunking Services

  • Hughes Cellular backhaul service
          No place unconnected …

It has always been the first one who has made a mark and stolen the limelight… first on moon… first on Everest made news and now with Hughes solutions you can be first to start services anywhere you sense business.

Over the last few years, with the cellular service providers growing their networks into every nook and corner of the country, Hughes has been a key enabler of this roll-out using satellite for the sites that are non-feasible through traditional fibre and microwave. Satellite as a medium with its reliability and ease of deployment has really helped the service providers make significant progress in reaching the semi urban and the rural areas of the country.

The appropriate backhaul solution depends on the specific needs of the mobile operator. As shown in the figure below, microwave is an ideal solution when distances are low and bandwidth is high. In most rural backhaul situations, distances are large, terrains are difficult, and bandwidth is small. In such cases satellite becomes the most optimum solution for traffic capacities as high as 12 TRX.

With everyday mounting pressure on operators for even quicker rollouts, and high customer commitments on uptimes, service providers can now lookup to satellite as a reliable medium for reach.

Hughes provides solution for all the networking needs in a cellular network
